to a new level

Despite the strong traditional trait of the rather small machine-tools companies, we proactively foster and find out applications for newer materials and methods in our designs, beyond ordinary sheet-metal working, in order to reduce both costs and environmental impact.

Moreover, we gather and integrate a series of functions (including those of commercial items) in packed, custom units. These elements are otherwise spread throughout the machines, even in large-batch, top-market brands.

Optimal application

Among many examples we could mention the application of the both lighter and visually cleaner aluminum composite panels and self sustaining aluminium honeycomb panels for fencing and ceiling purposes or even for applications regarding the outer layer of main fairings.

Although we always play on the safe side, we intend to push these materials towards more demanding applications. This is why we seek for collaborators that enable further testing, especially when it comes to sizing and tests against impact.

Environment first

We have already conducted studies in collaboration with Basque Eco Design Hub that show the environmental benefits of these architectural materials against sheet metal. We also found that stainless is also friendlier than painted steel, which we had been fostering, given its durability, great washability and enduring appearance.

As a case example, we could mention Juaristi’s TH3 at EMO2019. Its outer fairing and fencing made of aluminium composite panels, together with the inner stainless-steel fairing, not only reduce the overall cost, but also shrink the CO2 footprint by 60% when compared to a regular fairing of painted steel panels.
