Seelen, “soul”, in German, stands for the spirit of our customers, their dreams, people and culture. This is what we put all our souls into, so it is translated to our designs to be perceivable and long lasting in time and space, anywhere they go.
Strong roots
Seelen Engineering & Design was founded in 2016 by Josu Unzaga, joined by Eider Garai, after 25 years of experience in product design and a few less in the machine-tools sector, during their journey in a former design studio, TresD, of which Josu was co-founder. TresD being oriented to multiple sectors, Josu and Eider focused in the machine-tools industry. Hence, at Seelen and prior at TresD, we have designed for most of the main Machine-tool manufacturers in the Basque Country and surroundings, which has been an essential sector in the region for decades.
Rich ecosystem
In close relation with customers and suppliers, we exhaustively take care of key aspects that affect usability, ergonomics, brand identity, safety, and general appeal within the framework of assuring feasibility and competitiveness. This is compounded by the modest range of available manufacturing techniques the local production offers within this sector, together with the reduced production batches our customers manage.
Our eagerness for improvement combined with the constant relationship with varied manufacturers, suppliers, users and stakeholders, drives us to innovative designs, solutions and applications that nourish the toolbox of our customers and their suppliers; likewise, they feed us back with their specialized know-how.

Custom focus
Design being a strategic resource for market-success, we cannot but do our best to translate the corporate strategy and the DNA of our customers into a set of customized, congruent, recognizable and organically evolving design inventory that can be sustained over time. Only in this way can their product portfolio hold a long-term, strong identity, which further reinforces already desirable attributes in the sector such as reliability, precision, coherence or power.
We thus conceptualize, develop and eventually monitor the design of coverings, machining heads, signage, integration of various elements and accessories, control panel boxes, exhibition showcases and more, among other consultancy work and graphic material for commercial use.

We seek for proactive and creative people with good taste for details, which are rather familiar with sheet-metal manufacturing processes and new materials. People with passion for innovation and new ways of making things.
We appreciate mastering 3D CAD and graphic design software, in particular: SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, Illustrator, Keyshot and Photoshop.
